Teknik Kimia UGM

Master by Course

“Master by Course” is one of the Magister Study Program’s options, which focuses on student’s theoretical classes as much as 32 credits, and research / thesis as much as 8 credits.
The vision of the Chemical Engineering UGM Master Program is to become a leading master program in research and engineering design in the chemical industry, which places safety, environment, and entrepreneurship as important factors in 2025.

MAGISTER IN PROCESS ENGINEERING (MTP)

MISSION

The mission of the Process Engineering Concentration (MTP) is to provide chemical engineering expertise that is needed in industry, as a research engineer, process engineer, or operating engineer. Besides, process safety and risk assessment, which are currently becoming important issues in the industry, are also emphasized in this program.

PURPOSES

  1. To equip the graduates with the skills as a research engineer or process engineer
  2. To strengthen the  graduates’ creativity and knowledge for sustainable utilization of  Indonesia’s natural resources
  3. To produce the graduates who are well equipped to compete at the global level, both for further study and to enter the job market

MAGISTER IN ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION CONTROL ENGINEERING (MTPPL)

MISSION

The mission of the Environmental Pollution Control Engineering Concentration (MTPPL) is to instill the knowledge about the techniques to prevent and control pollution, and develop the skills to design environmental management systems. The graduates are projected to become professionals who can act as agents of change in society and industry to evaluate and solve environmental problem holistically.

PURPOSES

  1. To produce graduates who can solve environmental pollution problems systemically
  2. To produce graduates who can design an environmental management system
  3. To produce graduates who have cognitive, professional and practical skills in the prevention, control and treatment of waste
  4. To produce graduates who are able to become agents of change in society and industry in the environmental field for the development of the Indonesian industry in the future

MAGISTER IN MINERAL PROCESSING (MTBM)

MISSION

The mission of the Mineral Processing Concentration (MTBM) is to prepare the student to develop essential competencies in mineral processing technology

PURPOSES

  1. To produce graduates who can apply the fundamental approach based on the principles of chemical engineering into the mineral processing field
  2. To produce graduates who can design mineral processing system and mineral resource utilization by upholding the principles of sustainability and safety, health and environments (SHE)
  3. To produce graduates who can demonstrate creativity and knowledge to process the mineral resources into highly valuable products
