Fast Track Program – S1 + S2 Program

The Fast Track Program in the Department of Chemical Engineering is open to students of the Bachelor's Program in Chemical Engineering at UGM who are in their 8th semester. Fast Track students will commence their studies in the Master's Program in Chemical Engineering in the even semester.

Admission Requirements:

Requirements for undergraduate students in the Chemical Engineering program to continue their education integrated with the Master's Program in Chemical Engineering are:

  1. Completed a minimum of 120 credit hours (SKS) with a minimum GPA of 3.50 (three point five) as evidenced by the transcript.
  2. A statement of intent that includes:
    • Reasons for pursuing the master's program or applied master's program in the chosen field
    • Desired benefits from the master's program or applied master's program
    • Planned activities after completing the master's program or applied master's program
  3. International TOEFL score/UGM Language Training Center with a minimum score of 500
  4. Academic Potential Test (TPA) score conducted by Bappenas/Puspendik-LitbangDIKNAS/TPA UGM with a minimum score of 550
  5. Recommendation from 2 (two) lecturers, namely the Academic Advisor and the Prospective Research Supervisor in the Master's Program

Course Equivalency

Students enrolled in the Fast Track Program are allowed to undergo assessments at the beginning of the semester for courses listed in the following table:

Students eligible for this assessment are Fast Track Program students who have obtained a minimum grade of A/B in equivalent courses in the Bachelor's Program in Chemical Engineering. If they pass the assessment (B+ grade), the students are allowed to skip regular class sessions, and the final grade is adjusted based on the assessment score.
