International Class
Introduction
Undergraduate Program of Chemical Engineering has been viewed among most reputable chemical engineering in the world as marked international accreditation of The Institution of Chemical Engineering (IChemE) based in United Kingdom and Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE), a signatory member of Washington Accord. The Chemical Engineering offers an international class which is taught in English and facilitate students for international exposure. Various schemes among partner universities and institutions in the world will provide access for students to carry out e.g. student exchange, research, internship, and join degree program. The International class will be conducted using Student-Centered Learning.
In addition to having a global perspective, every student of Universitas Gadjah Mada will conduct a student community service for two months. This will provide a benefit for international students from abroad to achieve experience and get closer to the community in Indonesia which improve interprofessional collaboration skills.

Admission Requirements
Highly qualified candidates will be admitted to the International Undergraduate Program of Chemical Engineering Engineering. Candidates should be academically qualified, confirmed by their high school academic reports, and Gadjah Mada Scholastic Test Score (GMST). In addition, candidates must possess adequate English proficiency. Here are essential documents for applications:
- Scanned Valid ID Card (e.g. KTP, Passport)
- Curriculum Vitae (please use this template)
- Motivation Letter
- Scanned high school academic reports (semester 1-5)
- For overseas students, high school institutions are required to have equivalent qualifications to A-Level or international baccalaureate or have endorsement from the Indonesian Embassy in their country of origin.
- English Certificate (PBT TOEFL/ITP of 500 or above, iBT TOEFL of 61 or above, IELTS of 6.0 or above, ACEPT of 268 or above, DUOLINGO of 90 or above)
- Letter of Financial Commitment (please use this template)
- Scanned certificate of three most prestigious awards (if any)
Admission Pathway
Account Creation and Registration
- Register and create an account at um.ugm.ac.id.
- Complete the required data and upload supporting documents in the registration account. Ensure that all information provided is correct and complies with the upload requirements before clicking Finalize Registration.
- Applicants may edit their data as long as they have not clicked Lock Data and the registration period is still open.
Verification by the Selection Committee
- All submitted data and supporting documents will be verified by the Selection Committee. This stage is the Desk Evaluation.
- Applicants are advised to regularly check the verification status in their respective accounts after finalize the registration, as test-related information will be provided there.
- Applicants whose English proficiency certificates are verified may choose to use the certificate for the selection process or to take the AcEPT. Applicants whose certificates are not verified are required to take the AcEPT.
- Applicants who upload an SAT score and whose score is verified may choose to use the score for the selection process or to take the GMST. Applicants who do not upload an SAT score are required to take the GMST.
Test
- The selection schedule will be stated on the Test Card, which can be printed after registration finalization and completion of the verification process.
- The test will be conducted on-site at UGM for intake 1 and 3, and Online for intake 2. Detailed information on the test time and location will be provided on each applicant’s Test Card.
Interview
- Applicants who pass Stage 1 will be invited to proceed to Stage 2, the Interview
- Invitations are usually sent via WhatsApp or email. Applicants are advised to check regularly.
Final Announcement
- The final results will be announced in each applicant’s account on the scheduled announcement date
Scholarships
A scholarship is available for two international students (holding non – Indonesian passport) who successfully pass all selection processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must pass all selection processes.
- Applicants must apply in the first or second intake period of International Undergraduate Program of Faculty of Engineering, UGM.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Tuition Fee - Full coverage of tuition costs for 4 years.
- Dormitory/Housing - Accommodation in UGM Residences for 4 years.
Expenses Not Covered:
- Flight to Yogyakarta.
- Visa.
- Monthly Accommodation in Yogyakarta.

Fees
Each student is required to pay a semester-based tuition fee of IDR 30,000,000 (approximately USD 2,010). No settlement fee is required. Please take note that this tuition fee excludes all the cost of the international exposures, which will be borne by students. However, scholarships and other financial assistance may be available
