Rio Aryapratama has been a lecturer at the Chemical Engineering Department of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) since 2023. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and subsequently gained two years of working experience at PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk – Nutrition and Special Foods Division. Following this, he pursued his master’s degrees in Energy and Environmental Engineering (M.Eng.) at the University of Science and Technology, Korea, and completed an Erasmus+ MSc in Industrial Ecology at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz (Austria). In 2023, he successfully obtained his doctoral degree in Industrial Ecology from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Germany. His research interests revolve around the intersection of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Ecology, including life cycle assessment (LCA), material flow analysis (MFA), dynamic material cycle modeling, environmentally extended input-output (I-O) analysis, and the ecological evaluation of industrial and production systems.
