Sutijan is a lecturer at the Chemical Engineering Department of Universitas Gadjah Mada. He finished his study in chemical engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada and received his bachelor (1990) and master degree (1998) there. Sutijan earned his doctoral degree at UMIST and The Victoria University of Manchester in 2002. His research interests focus on chemical engineering design.
