BIOGRAPHY
Mukmin Sapto Pamungkas is a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada. He earned his Bachelor’s (2016) and Master’s (2020) degrees in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, with a focus on natural food colorants. In 2025, he completed his Doctor of Engineering degree at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, under the Graduate School of Materials Science in the Nanomaterials and Polymer Chemistry Laboratory. His research centers on material science, particularly natural dyes, polymers, and surface modification for functional applications. His work focused on enhancing the affinity between natural dyes and cellulose-based polymers, particularly in cotton fibers, through molecular bonding strategies. Currently, he is also part of the Bioresearch Engineering Research Group (KBK), where he contributes to the development of biodegradable polymers with added functionalities, including UV-responsive degradation.
