Doni Riski Aprilianto is a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree (2020) and his Doctoral degree (2025) in Chemical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada. During his doctoral studies, he received the Pendidikan Magister menuju Doktor untuk Sarjana Unggul (PMDSU) scholarship. Since 2019, his research has focused on lithium-ion battery recycling, with particular emphasis on metal separation, crystallization, and mathematical modelling. His doctoral dissertation focused on the thermodynamic and kinetic modelling of crystallization processes for lithium recovery from spent lithium-ion batteries. He is currently an active member of the Greenery (Green e-Waste and Battery Recycling) Research Group and the Mineral Processing Research Group, where he contributes to the development of innovative and sustainable technologies for resource recovery from secondary materials.
