BIOGRAPHY
Muhammad Falakhul Insan is a new Chemical Engineering faculty member at UGM. A Yogyakarta native and alumnus of SMA 1 Yogyakarta, he earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from UGM before gaining early professional experience at PT Kaltim Methanol Industri, where he focused on steam reformer process simulation. His background also includes a year as a Process Engineer in an engineering consultancy. Upon returning to UGM, Falakh served as a Lecturer Assistant, with a teaching portfolio covering chemical reaction engineering, mathematical modelling and computation, process control, and python programming. He completed an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, where he centred his research on industrial decarbonisation through process modelling, simulation, and techno-economic assessment.
